Spike marks
Also called: Spikes.
Spike marks are pieces of coloured tape on the stage floor marking where a set piece, a piece of furniture or a performer must be placed. Each scene or cue usually has its own colour, and the deck crew sets to the spikes during a scene change, often in the dark and with glow tape.
In CueCall
Set pieces in the blocking editor keep their position per cue, which is the record a spike plot is drawn from; the Preset List tells the crew what stands where at the top of the show.
