A2
Also called: Audio assistant, Mic wrangler.
The A2 is the second audio person on a production, working backstage while the A1 mixes the show from the house: fitting and swapping wireless mics, changing batteries, and running the mic plot's hand-offs between performers in the wings.
In CueCall
The mic plot and the mic cues drafted from it are the A2's working documents; mic cues can name the performers rather than the channel numbers, which is how the A2 thinks of them.
