Board operator

Also called: Board op, Lighting op, Sound op.

The board operator runs the lighting or sound console during a performance, executing each cue on the stage manager's GO. The cues are programmed in advance, so on the night the operator's job is to be ready on every standby and press GO on the word.

In CueCall

The cue sheet is the board operator's list, printable per department, and the export for QLab builds the sound and projection cues in the operator's workspace.
