How AI Credits Work

AI generation is paid for with credits. Every account starts with a batch of free credits, and you can buy more at any time from the Billing page. Credits never expire.

  • Text generation (scenes, characters, inventory, songs, vision, prompts) costs a couple of credits per generation.
  • Image generation (costume renderings, backdrops, hair/makeup, slide beautification) costs more, since each image is a much larger request. Attaching a document (a script, design notes) as reference material adds a document-reading charge on top, quoted in the dialog before you generate.
  • Video generation is the most expensive by a wide margin and is priced per second of footage.
  • You're only charged when a generation succeeds. The credits are set aside the moment you start a generation — so two generations started together can't both spend the same credits — and returned automatically if it fails or never runs; your credit history shows both lines. A video that never starts is refunded automatically too.
  • Daily limits on complimentary AI: An account whose AI is complimentary — one that isn't spending credits — can run up to 500 text generations, 200 image generations and 10 video generations a day. The limits reset at midnight UTC. Generations paid for with credits have no daily limit: your balance is the limit. AI running on your own Gemini key isn't limited either, and the free import helpers have their own daily limit.
  • Buying a pack sends you a receipt — the pack, the credits added, the amount paid and your new balance, with a payment reference to quote if you ever need to ask about the charge. A pack bought for an organization is receipted to whoever paid for it, and says which company the credits went to.
  • Each AI action is charged separately. The AI Prompt button inside an image or video dialog writes the description for you — that's its own text generation, billed on top of the image or clip you then generate. Its price is shown next to the button, so a run that uses both costs the two amounts added together.
  • Company shows spend the company's credits. If a show belongs to an organization, AI on that show is paid for by the organization's balance — not by whoever ran it. Your own balance only covers your personal shows. See AI for an Organization below.
  • Support credits: if something goes wrong, our support team can add credits to your account. These appear in your credit history as an admin adjustment with the reason attached.

Every AI dialog shows what the action costs and your remaining balance before you run it, and warns you when credits are running low. The balance updates as soon as a generation finishes — no reload needed. A refund for a video that failed can take a few moments longer to appear. Your full balance and recent activity, including a line item for every generation, are on the Billing page.
