Page Notes & Cues on the Script
Pin notes and cues directly onto the script page so they live next to the line they apply to:
- Add a Note: Click anywhere on the script page to drop a transparent text box at that position, then start typing
- Drag from the side panel: Existing notes or cues that don't yet have a position show a grip icon — drag any of them onto the script page to pin them at that spot
- Move: Use the grip handle at the top-left of an overlay to drag it to a new position
- Resize: Drag the handle at the bottom-right corner of an overlay
- Remove or delete: Click the ⋯ button at the top-right of an overlay. The menu lets you choose Move to page… (re-pages the note or cue to a different page of the script), Remove from script (the note or cue stays in the side panel, just unpinned), or Delete entirely
- White background: By default a script note is a transparent box so the underlying script text shows through — useful on whitespace, but it can clash with dense dialogue. From the ⋯ menu choose White background… to give the note a solid white fill so the script behind it is masked. The dialog has an Apply to all notes on the script checkbox that fans the same setting out across every positioned note on the current script — every page, not just the page you're looking at. A preview line in the dialog shows the script-wide count that will be affected before you click Save. The flag is honored in the exported PDF too, so what you see on screen is what the crew prints
- Move via the edit dialog: Editing a pinned note from the side panel also exposes a Script Page field, and the cue editor's Page field works the same way
- Cue chips: Cues render as colored chips showing the cue type (LX, SQ, MIC, etc.), number, description, and trigger
- Side panel views: The right-hand panel has tabs at the top for Notes Cues, and Both so you can see your scripted notes and cues side by side
- Shared per page: All collaborators see the same overlays, anchored to the page and position
- Download with notes & cues: When any overlay exists on the script, the Download button becomes a menu with "Download original" and "Download with notes & cues" — the latter renders all overlays into the printable PDF
