Character breakdown
Also called: Cast breakdown, Role breakdown.
A character breakdown lists every role in a script with a short description — age, vocal range, the size of the part, the scenes it appears in — and is published with an audition notice so performers know what to prepare for. Internally it also tracks which performer plays each role, understudies, and doubling.
In CueCall
The Characters tab holds every role with its performers, understudies and casts (for double casting), its scenes, its songs, its costume pieces and its mic.
