Double casting
Also called: Alternating casts, Multiple casting.
Double casting puts two performers in one role, each playing it on alternate performances. Schools and youth programs use it to give more students a lead and to protect the run against illness; the two casts are usually named (Blue cast, Gold cast) and rehearsed side by side.
In CueCall
A show names its casts, a performer's assignment belongs to one cast or to all of them, and the cast list, the people views and the Cast List PDF each show one cast or every cast.
