Tech Cues Tab

Document technical cues (lighting, sound, mics) for each scene. Use the Tech Cues tab on the scene detail page.

Creating Cues

  • Add Cue: Click "Add Cue" to create a new technical cue
  • Cue Number: Industry-standard notation (LX 1, SQ 12, MIC 3.1)
  • Cue Type: Lighting, Sound, Mic, Fly, Automation, Spot, or Video/Projection
  • Description: What the cue does (e.g., "House to half", "Mics 1,3,5 ON")

Trigger Types

  • Line Cue: Triggered by a specific line of dialogue
  • Sight Cue: Triggered by a visual action (e.g., "When Romeo exits SR")
  • Timestamp: Triggered at a specific time in a song (e.g., "0:45")
  • Standby: Called cue that waits for the stage manager's "Go"

Mic Cues

  • Mic Numbers: Select which physical mics are affected (1, 3, 5)
  • Mic Action: On, Off, Swap, or Hot
  • Characters: Optionally link to characters for reference

Execution Details

  • Timing: How the cue is executed (e.g., "3 count", "follow", "snap")
  • Page Number: Script page reference
  • Notes: Additional operator notes

Tip: Cues are ordered within each scene. Use drag-and-drop or edit to reorder. View all cues across scenes from the show's Cues tab for a master cue sheet.
