The Hair & Makeup Department: Notes, Tasks, Reports and Scene Readiness
The Hair & Makeup tab is one end of a department that runs through the rest of the show. "Hair & Makeup" is a department everywhere the app asks for one:
- Notes: tag a note Hair & Makeup on the Notes tab and it appears on this tab's Notes view. Notes filed earlier under "hair", "makeup", "make-up", "hair/makeup" or "wigs" are read as the same department, so nothing already written is lost
- Tasks: the same department is in the task department picker, so a note and a task about the same wig file together
- Rehearsal reports: a report has a Hair & Makeup section, between Costumes and Lighting, and notes tagged with the department land in it
- Scene readiness: every scene now tracks a tenth discipline, Hair & Makeup, beside Blocking, Choreography, Lighting, Music/Sound, Sets, Costumes, Mics, Cast and Props. Its detail page lists the looks assigned to the characters in the scene and links back to this tab. A Hair & Makeup note on the scene counts toward it
Scenes you had already finished: a scene marked complete before this release stays complete until its readiness is next re-derived — an assignment or note changes on it. At that point the new Hair & Makeup card appears as Not Started and the scene reads In Progress until someone marks the card Complete or Not Applicable. One press puts it back where it was; nothing is lost in between.
