Getting Started with the Marketplace

The Marketplace (sidebar → Marketplace) lets theatre organizations list costumes, props, set pieces, and equipment for other theatres to rent or borrow.

  • Create an organization: Listings and requests are made on behalf of a theatre organization. Create yours from the Organization page in the sidebar (just a name and ZIP code)
  • Add your team: Invite colleagues by email from the Team tab so your whole team can manage listings and requests
  • Browse freely: Anyone can browse listings — filter by category and distance from your theatre
  • Willing to ship? Turn on "Include items that ship to me" to also see shippable listings beyond your distance radius. Results split into two sections — Near you (within the radius, for pickup) and Ships to you (farther away, but the lender offers shipping). Listings that offer shipping show a "Ships" badge on the card
  • Search by production: The search box also matches a listing's production credits, so you can find items by the productions they've appeared in (e.g. search "Les Misérables"). Listings show the productions an item has been used in right on the card and on the item's detail page
  • Free or paid: Each listing is either a free lend or a paid rental priced per production, per week, or per day
