Rental Terms, Policies & Protection (all optional)
These features are optional — leave them blank and the simple request → approve → return flow is unchanged.
- Rental terms: Add standard terms to your organization (Organization page in the sidebar). Renters must accept them when requesting your items, and the exact accepted version is recorded on each request — click "View agreement" on a request to see it. No terms = no agreement step
- Condition confirmation: After checkout, the renter can confirm the owner's condition photos and notes with one click, so both organizations share the same record of how the item left
- Return comparison: When recording a return, the checkout photos appear alongside for easy comparison while you inspect
- Late & cleaning fees: Set per-day late fees and a flat cleaning fee on a listing. They're shown to renters up front and offered as one-click suggestions when you record the return — never charged automatically
- Updating the settlement: Found damage during cleaning? The owner can amend the adjustment after the return (with a reason) until the settlement is marked paid — the renter is notified
- Double-booking protection: Dates that overlap an approved or checked-out rental can't be requested or approved. Booked ranges are shown on the listing page
- Turnaround buffer: Optionally block N days after each rental for cleaning and repairs before the next booking can start
- Reminders & overdue: Renters get an automatic email reminder shortly before the return date; rentals not returned by their end date are marked Late and the renter is notified
