Rented Items in Your Inventory, Shows & Budget

Renting through the marketplace plugs straight into your production workflow — no double entry.

  • Into your inventory automatically: When a rental is checked out, each rented item appears in your inventory marked Rented, with the lender, checkout date, and due-back date filled in. It carries a "Rented via marketplace" badge and links back to the rental request
  • Never re-listable: Rented-in items can't be listed on the marketplace — you can't lend out what isn't yours
  • Lender side: Your own item shows Rented Out in your inventory while it's away, and flips back to Available at return
  • Link a show: When requesting, optionally pick one of your shows — at checkout the rented items land on that show's inventory list, ready to assign to scenes and characters
  • Budget expense: If you can edit the linked show's budget, the booked total is recorded as an expense at approval and updated to the final settled amount at return (including any damage charges or credits)
  • At return: The rented items leave your inventory automatically; the rental request keeps the full historical record
  • Overdue: If a rental goes late, the items in your inventory are marked late too
