Company Documents

Paperwork that belongs to the company rather than to one production — insurance certificates, venue agreements, the staff handbook, safety policies. Find it under Organization → Documents. It stays with the company when a show is archived.

  • Everyone at the company: the whole roster, plus anyone working on one of your shows — so a guest director gets the safety policy without being added to the company
  • Restricted: only the roles you choose (Owners, Admins, Members), the shows you share it with, and any individual people you name. Leave the audience empty and only you can open it
  • Sharing with a show: pick one of your company's productions as an audience entry and everyone working on that show — including guest collaborators — can open the document, and it appears on that show's Files tab. Access follows the show's team, so someone leaving the production loses the document with it
  • One file, several productions: a file uploaded to one of your shows belongs to the company, so it can be shared with another production without a second upload — and it stays with the company when a show is archived
  • Who can add them: owners and admins. A company document belongs to the company, so its administrators govern it — unlike a show file, whose uploader controls their own upload
  • Uploading from the Files page: owners and admins working in a company workspace can also add company documents through the Files page's Add Files dialog — leave the show unassigned and choose the audience with Who can see these files, exactly as at the show level

Company documents also appear read-only in a Company Documents group on the Files tab of every show the company owns — so a stage manager finds the safety policy where they are looking. Re-audiencing and removal happen on the Organization page, and deleting an organization removes them along with it.
