Adding a class from your district roster
On the People tab of a show, teachers whose district shares its class lists with CueCall see an Add a class button. It lists the classes you teach, so you never type a student in by hand. The lists come from Clever or from your district’s student information system (a nightly OneRoster file), whichever your district set up.
- Pick a class, then the students: everyone who can be added is ticked to start with; untick anyone who is not in the show
- Choose how they join: as Student or as Cast. You can change a person's permissions and title afterwards like anyone else's
- They accept on their next sign-in: each student gets an invitation waiting the next time they sign in through their school. Nobody is emailed
- Who can do it: the button appears only for a teacher signed in through their school who can manage collaborators on the show
- Where the classes come from: your district decides which classes and students it shares with CueCall. CueCall reads them every night; a class shared today appears tomorrow
- A student you cannot tick: their district record has no school email, so they have no way to sign in yet. Ask your district office to add one
- No classes listed? Your district has not shared any of your classes with CueCall yet. Ask your district's technology office
