Merging People
Combine two people records into one when duplicates exist. All assignments and data from the source person are transferred to the target.
- How to Merge: From the People page, open Bulk Actions and select "Merge People"
- Source Person: Select the person whose data you want to merge from (this record will be removed)
- Target Person: Select the person you want to keep (this record will receive the source's data)
- What Transfers: Show assignments, scene assignments, documents, tasks, inventory assignments, character roles, and calendar event references
- Data Enrichment: Any empty fields on the target (phone, bio, avatar, etc.) will be automatically filled from the source
- Duplicate Handling: If both people are assigned to the same show or scene, the target's existing assignment is kept
- Who can merge: You can merge people you created, or people on a show where you can edit the cast and crew list. Being able to see someone on a roster isn't enough
- People with a CueCall account: A person linked to someone's login can only be the target — merge the duplicate into their record, never the other way round. If the duplicate would bring show access with it (a role on a production that person is part of), only someone who manages that show's collaborators can do the merge
Note: Merging cannot be undone. The source person will be permanently removed after the merge.
