Linking a Guardian to a Student
On a student's profile on the People page, the Guardians card records which CueCall accounts hold the login for a performer who never signs in. A linked guardian's own account sees the student's tagged notes, measurements, hours and cast pages on the productions the guardian can already open — nothing else changes, and a link never adds a production by itself.
- It happens on its own when a parent accepts: When a performer under 13 is invited, the invitation goes to the parent or guardian email on their profile. The account that accepts it is linked as that student's guardian at the same moment — including a second or third child accepted onto the same account
- Or from the student's cast page: A parent who is signed in to CueCall with the same address the cast page was sent to sees Add to my family on the page itself
- Or you ask: On the student's profile, the Guardians card takes an email address and sends that person a request. It stays Waiting for them to confirm until they sign in with that address and confirm it under Settings → Your family. Nobody on the production can confirm it for them — a typed address is not the parent's consent
- Several guardians are fine: Two parents, or a parent and a step-parent, can each be linked to the same student, each from their own account
- Removing one: The guardian can remove a student from their family in Settings, and anyone who can edit the student's profile can remove a guardian from the card. Either way the link ends immediately and would have to be made again
- Where to see your own: Settings → Your family lists the students you are linked to and any requests waiting for you to confirm or decline. It appears once there is something to show
- Who can manage the card: The person's owner, or anyone with people-editing rights on a production the student is on. It shows on profiles that read as a child's — a date of birth under 18, or a guardian email on file
