Program & Listings (Digital Program, Print PDF & Public Page)
The Program & Listings tab in the show navigation (visible to roles with show edit access) groups the show's two audience-facing surfaces as sub-tabs: Program — build a professional playbill-style program — and Public Page, where you prepare the show's public listing on your organization's site.
- Sections: Cover & title page (with author/licensing billing), director's note, cast list, production team, musical numbers, scenes & settings, "Who's Who" bios, donors, sponsors & well-wishers (including cast callouts), special thanks, content advisory, land acknowledgement, and unlimited custom sections
- Import from show data: One click pulls the cast from Characters (with understudies), the production team from People assignments, musical numbers from Songs, scene settings from Scenes, and bios from people profiles — imports add what's missing and never overwrite rows you entered by hand
- Anyone can be credited: Every list accepts manual rows, so pit musicians, guest designers, front of house, and anyone else not in CueCall can still appear in the program
- Cast ordering: Sort the cast in order of appearance (from scene assignments) or alphabetically by performer surname, then fine-tune with the arrows — manual ordering always wins
- Section order: Reorder sections; empty sections are skipped automatically
- Digital program: Publish to get a public link anyone can open without an account, plus a downloadable QR code for posters, flyers, and lobby signs
- Download PDF — page by page: Booklet, page by page (5.5 x 8.5) and Letter, page by page (8.5 x 11) both read straight through, one page at a time. Use these to proof the program, send it to a print shop, or import it into a design tool. Start here — these are what most people want
- Download PDF — imposed for printing: Booklet, imposed for printing (11 x 8.5) is for the person running the printer, not for reading. It puts two half-size pages on each side of a landscape sheet and deliberately re-orders them, so it looks scrambled and half-blank on screen. Print it double-sided (flip on the short edge), stack the sheets in order, fold the stack in half, and staple twice on the fold — it then reads 1, 2, 3… Do not reorder its pages yourself
- Blank pages are normal in a booklet: a folded sheet always makes four pages, so a program that doesn't divide by four gets blank leaves. They are placed just before the back cover, so your QR code and closing notices always land on the back of the finished booklet
- Editing elsewhere: the two page-by-page exports import into design tools like Canva as editable text — never the imposed version, whose pages are out of order for the printer
- Proofing: all formats work on an unpublished draft; once published, the PDF carries the QR code to the digital program on its back page
- Unpublish safely: Unpublishing hides the page but keeps the same link, so printed QR codes work again the moment you republish
- Privacy: Only content you put in the program is published — contact details and other profile data never appear
