Show Announcements
Announcements let you communicate important updates to everyone in your production. They appear prominently on the Dashboard and Show Overview page.
- Who can create: Crew members (Directors, Stage Managers, Producers, Choreographers, Designers including the Hair & Makeup Designer, Costumers, Crew, Stagehands, Lighting, Sound) can create announcements. Cast, Students, Parents, and Volunteers can only view them.
- Scheduling: Choose to post immediately or schedule for a future time. Start and end times are set to the top or bottom of the hour (e.g., 9:00, 9:30).
- Email Notifications: Optionally send email notifications to all show participants when the announcement becomes active. The announcement shows as Pending until every recipient has been emailed, then switches to Sent. On a large cast, or if the email provider is briefly busy, it can stay Pending for a while — delivery continues in the background and picks up only the people who have not been emailed yet, so nobody is emailed twice.
- Visibility: Active announcements appear on the Dashboard (for all roles) and at the top of the Show Overview page.
- Manage: Use the Announcements tab in your show to view, edit, or delete announcements. Filter by status (All, Active, Upcoming, Past).
