Staging and choreography software for musical theatre choreographers
A choreographer's notes live in a notebook, on a phone, and in the heads of the dance captains, and the one question nobody can answer in week three is what the formation was for the second verse. CueCall's blocking is drawn over the actual ground plan and tied to the scene's song, so a number can be reviewed the way it will be performed.
What a choreographer uses it for
- Blocking entries over your own ground plans, with colour-coded character markers that keep their colour in every scene and show the performer playing each part.
- Playback synced to the music: tie each entry to the song's timeline, press play, and watch the formations move in time with the actual audio. A scrubber jumps between positions.
- Set pieces and freehand drawing on the same canvas, so traffic patterns, spacing and spike positions are on the plan rather than in a separate sketch.
- Songs organised by scene with character assignments, a practice player with speed control and A-B looping, and the guide-vocal, performance and piano-only tracks beside each number.
- Choreography as its own readiness discipline on every scene, so the production meeting can see which numbers are set and which are blocked.
- A rehearsal plan that lays numbers out across the calendar and flags who in each one is expected absent, and department-tagged notes that reach the dance captains and the cast.
Where it stops
CueCall is not a count-by-count notation instrument: entries carry timestamps against the song rather than formal charts per count. For Broadway-transfer spacing charts, a dedicated tool is the right answer, and CueCall sits beside it as the production record.
Pricing
- The first two shows are free for a full year each, with every feature and unlimited users.
- Additional shows are $14.99 per year each.
- Unlimited shows: $49 per year.
- Pricing is per show, not per user — adding your entire cast, crew and creative team costs nothing extra.
- School district pricing with student login: $299 per year with five classrooms included, then $70 per classroom. This is the plan for schools that need district single sign-on and a signed data processing agreement. A classroom is a class or group of up to 35 students, with unlimited shows, and orders are paid by purchase order and invoice.
- After a show's year ends there is a 7-day grace period, then the show becomes read-only. Data is never deleted.
