Production management software for college and university theatre programs
A university theatre department runs several productions at once, staffed by students who rotate through every role and leave after four years. The knowledge walks out with them unless the production lives somewhere other than a shared drive. CueCall gives the department one company account, with every show, the roster and the stock under it.
What a theatre program uses it for
- A company account holding every production of the season, with one people roster and one costume, prop and set inventory shared across them, so a pulled costume on the spring musical is known to the fall play.
- Student stage managers, assistant directors and designers given exactly the permissions their role carries, configurable by the department, with contact details, documents and measurements visible only to roles entitled to them.
- Auditions with a casting team per production, so panel notes are read only by the faculty and students on that team — and never by an auditionee who is also an assistant choreographer.
- Budgets per show with receipts and reimbursements, visible per person, and crew hours logged, submitted and approved on the Hours tab.
- Rehearsal reports, run sheets, cue sheets and mic plots as the training documents they are — the same paperwork a professional company produces.
- A public company page and production pages presenting the season, its dates and casts.
Sign-in and students
Students sign in with an ordinary account. For institutions that need single sign-on, rostering and a signed data processing agreement, the district plan covers K-12 schools; contact support about a university arrangement.
Pricing
- The first two shows are free for a full year each, with every feature and unlimited users.
- Additional shows are $14.99 per year each.
- Unlimited shows: $49 per year.
- Pricing is per show, not per user — adding your entire cast, crew and creative team costs nothing extra.
- School district pricing with student login: $299 per year with five classrooms included, then $70 per classroom. This is the plan for schools that need district single sign-on and a signed data processing agreement. A classroom is a class or group of up to 35 students, with unlimited shows, and orders are paid by purchase order and invoice.
- After a show's year ends there is a 7-day grace period, then the show becomes read-only. Data is never deleted.
