Production management software for high school and school theatre

A school production is run by one or two adults, a room full of students and a lot of parents — usually on spreadsheets, a group chat and a binder. CueCall puts the whole production in one system organised around scenes, so the schedule, the cast, the costumes and the notes stop living in different places.

It is priced per show, not per user, so adding every student, parent volunteer and crew member costs nothing extra, and your first two shows are free for a full year each.

What a school production uses it for

  • Auditions: a public sign-up page where students pick a time slot and rank the roles they want — no CueCall account needed — with dates of birth and parent/guardian details collected for youth productions.
  • Casting: panel notes and ratings, callbacks, a casting board per character, and cast offers students accept or decline.
  • Rehearsal schedules on a shared calendar students and parents can subscribe to on their own phones.
  • Parent volunteer and item signup sheets — shifts with capacity, snacks to bring, set-build crews — with reminders sent automatically.
  • Costume measurements, props and costume inventory assigned to the scenes and characters that use them.
  • An audience program built from the show's own cast list, songs and bios, published as a public page with a QR code and a print-ready PDF.

Students, parents and privacy

Every member of a production sees the view their role needs, and contact details, documents and measurements are visible only to the roles entitled to see them. Performers under 13 never need an account of their own: their invitations go to a parent or guardian.

The documentation's classroom guide covers the setup decisions, what students can reach without logging in, and what to tell an administrator who asks.

Pricing

  • The first two shows are free for a full year each, with every feature and unlimited users.
  • Additional shows are $14.99 per year each.
  • Unlimited shows: $49 per year.
  • Pricing is per show, not per user — adding your entire cast, crew and creative team costs nothing extra.
  • After a show's year ends there is a 7-day grace period, then the show becomes read-only. Data is never deleted.

Features to start with
