Production management software for theatre directors

A director holds the production in their head: which scenes are staged, who is in them, what each department still owes, and what was said about it at last night's rehearsal. CueCall keeps that picture in one place, organised around scenes, so the answer to "where are we?" is a screen rather than a round of emails.

Every collaborator sees the view their role needs, so the director's notes reach the department they are about, and the cast sees their scenes, calls and measurements without wading through the rest.

What a director uses it for

  • A scene and character breakdown, generated from the script with AI assistance or built by hand, with every scene carrying its cast, props, costumes, notes and files.
  • Auditions and casting: a public sign-up page, panel notes and 1–5 ratings, callbacks, a casting board that compares candidates per character, and cast offers performers accept or decline.
  • Blocking drawn on your own ground plans, with set pieces that keep their position per cue, crosses drawn in prompt-book notation, and playback synced to the scene's music.
  • Department-tagged notes with resolution tracking, so a note about the Act 2 lighting reaches the lighting designer and is marked done when it is.
  • Per-discipline readiness on every scene — set, costumes, props, lighting, sound, choreography, music — rolling up to not started, in progress, blocked or complete.
  • An AI-drafted rehearsal plan that lays scenes out across the calendar and flags who in each scene is expected absent, which you approve, edit or re-propose before it reaches the schedule.
  • Nightly rehearsal reports drafted from the calendar event — attendance, timing, the day's notes by department — emailed to the team in one click.
  • A director's note and "Who's Who" bios in the audience program, published as a public page and a print-ready PDF.

What it leaves to the people around you

CueCall is the shared record, not a show-calling console: it documents cues and does not fire them. Ticketing and box office are deliberately out of scope, so the producer pairs it with a ticketing provider.

Pricing

  • The first two shows are free for a full year each, with every feature and unlimited users.
  • Additional shows are $14.99 per year each.
  • Unlimited shows: $49 per year.
  • Pricing is per show, not per user — adding your entire cast, crew and creative team costs nothing extra.
  • School district pricing with student login: $299 per year with five classrooms included, then $70 per classroom. This is the plan for schools that need district single sign-on and a signed data processing agreement. A classroom is a class or group of up to 35 students, with unlimited shows, and orders are paid by purchase order and invoice.
  • After a show's year ends there is a 7-day grace period, then the show becomes read-only. Data is never deleted.
