Props and scenic management software: the prop plot, the preset list and the stock
A props master and a scenic crew ask one question all day: what does this scene need? The inventory manager answers a different one — what do we own? — which is why props end up on a second spreadsheet by scene. CueCall reads the same stock both ways: as the library, and scene by scene.
What a props master uses it for
- Props, set pieces and furniture assigned to the scenes that use them, read as the Prop Plot (by scene) and the Props Master List (by item), each as PDF and CSV — with a teacup carried through four scenes counted once.
- Where each item is in its life: need to source, need to build, available, checked out, rented out, in maintenance — so the build list and the shopping list come from the same record.
- Ownership and rental tracking (owned, rented, borrowed, with checkout and return history), and a marketplace for renting from other companies when building is not worth it.
- QR labels for shelves and crates that open the item's record on a phone.
- Run sheets for the crew: the Running List of moves by cue, the Preset List walked in deck order, and each crew member's duties on their own page.
- Tasks linked to inventory items, and props as its own readiness discipline on every scene.
What it does not do
CueCall does not draft scenery or produce construction drawings; it holds the plans and renderings you upload as production files and links them to the scenes and pieces they describe.
Pricing
- The first two shows are free for a full year each, with every feature and unlimited users.
- Additional shows are $14.99 per year each.
- Unlimited shows: $49 per year.
- Pricing is per show, not per user — adding your entire cast, crew and creative team costs nothing extra.
- School district pricing with student login: $299 per year with five classrooms included, then $70 per classroom. This is the plan for schools that need district single sign-on and a signed data processing agreement. A classroom is a class or group of up to 35 students, with unlimited shows, and orders are paid by purchase order and invoice.
- After a show's year ends there is a 7-day grace period, then the show becomes read-only. Data is never deleted.

- Managing Inventory: Assigning to Shows, Scenes & Characters — Assign inventory items to specific shows, scenes, and characters.
- Managing Inventory: Item Status (where a piece is in its life) — Status is a separate field from Ownership: ownership says whose the item is, status says where it is right now. Set it when adding or editing an item, and filter the inventory list by it.
- Managing Inventory: QR Codes for Inventory — Generate and print QR codes for inventory items to enable quick access via smartphone.
- Managing Inventory: Ownership Status — Track whether items are owned, rented, or borrowed.
- Run Sheets (Reports Tab): The Three Reports — All three are the same duties read three different ways. Each has a Print button that opens a clean, landscape page with a tick column for marking off, and the first two also export to CSV.
