Costumes, Props, Sets and Tech Menus
A show's sidebar gives each department its own door onto the show inventory: Costumes, Props, Sets and Tech. They are views of the same items — assigning a costume to the show on any of them puts it on all of them — and every inventory category belongs to one of the four, so there is no separate Inventory item inside a show. Your central inventory across all shows is still the Inventory page in the main menu.
- Costumes: The costume department's home. By Character shows each part, who plays it, its costume looks from the costume plot (look numbers and quick changes, linking to the scene), and the pieces assigned to it — assign pieces or remove one right on the card. By Actor shows each cast member with the parts they play, the union of those parts' pieces, and their measurements when you're allowed to see them (a listed fabric or makeup allergy shows as an amber warning) — so a double-cast role lists both actors with the same costumes, and an understudy appears under the part they cover (marked u/s). By Piece shows each costume with the characters and actors who wear it. In all three views each piece is pictured by its primary image — the photo starred on the item's page, or its first photo if none is starred. Fitting Photos is where photos of actors in costume live (see below). Measurements holds the department's measurement requests — choose what to measure and who, then collect on screen, on printed forms read back from photos, by spreadsheet, or by emailed link (see Costume Measurements under People). Costume Inventory is the inventory manager limited to the Costume category — add new pieces, assign existing ones from your library, edit and remove them, and generate images — so the department never has to leave its tab (bulk import and QR labels live on the central Inventory page). The Reports menu, on the row just below the view tabs alongside the search box, downloads the Costume Plot PDF and the Character Looks PDF (consolidated, or one hand-out page per actor) and generates the Costume Plot and Actors in Costume slideshows
- Props: Two views. Inventory is the inventory manager limited to the Prop category — add, assign, edit and remove props without wading through everything else; items with a category that belongs to no department (an imported or custom category) also appear here. By Scene reads the same props in running order: each scene with what it needs, quantities and the note recorded when the prop was assigned to that scene. Switch it to Item list for one row per prop with every scene it appears in — the pull list. A quantity there is the most any single scene needs, never the sum, so the same tray used in four scenes is still one tray to find. Scenes with nothing assigned stay on the list (you can hide them) because "this scene needs nothing" is a fact worth seeing
- Sets: The same two views for scenic categories: Set, Backdrop, Furniture, Projection and Video
- Props and Sets reports: The Reports menu on the right of the view tabs downloads the department's paperwork — the Prop Plot Scenic Plot (scene by scene, in running order) and the Props Master List Set & Scenic List (one row per item with every scene it appears in, its status, ownership and where it lives), each as a PDF to print or a CSV to sort. The same four downloads are on the show's Reports page
- Tech: Three views for the technical departments — Cues (the master cue sheet, for roles that can edit cues), Mic Plot, and Tech & Equipment (Lighting, Sound, Microphone, Equipment and Other categories)
- Old links: A bookmark to a show's former Inventory tab opens Props; links to Tech Cues, Mic Plot or Fitting Photos open the tab and view that hold them now
- Opening an item or a person keeps you in the show: Clicking through to a costume piece, a prop or a cast member from anywhere inside a production — a department tab, a scene, a character, the Files tab, Who Can Help — opens that page in the show. The breadcrumbs read Show › Costumes › the item, the back button returns to the tab you came from, and the page shows what your role on that show is allowed to see. Reaching the same item from the Inventory or People page in the main menu opens it in your central library instead
- Assigning pieces to characters works from the Costumes cards and from the Characters tab alike, and anyone who can edit inventory (Costumer, Costume Designer, Hair & Makeup Designer, Designer) can do it — not only roles that can edit the show
