Fitting Photos
Photograph actors wearing their costumes at fittings and dress rehearsals. Each photo is filed on the actor and on every costume piece in frame, so you can find it from either side — and turn the set into an "Actors in Costume" slideshow.
Adding photos:
- Where: Open a show, choose Costumes in the sidebar, then the Fitting Photos view. Every card on the By Character, By Actor and By Piece views has a Photos button that opens it with that actor already selected
- Add Photos: Upload one or several pictures. On a phone or tablet the button opens your camera or photo library straight away and the upload starts as soon as you choose — there is no upload panel in between; on a computer you get a drop zone where you can drag pictures in and review the batch before uploading. Then say who is pictured (required), which costume pieces they're wearing, the character if you want, the fitting date, and any alteration notes
- Several at once: Photos uploaded together share the same actor, pieces and notes; remove one from the batch before saving if it belongs to someone else
- Filters: Narrow the tab to one actor or one piece. A filter you have set is carried into the next photo you add, so working down one actor's rail means picking them once
- Edit or delete: Use the pencil and trash icons on a photo. Editing replaces the list of pieces with what you tick
Where they show up:
- Person page: The Costume & Props tab gains a Fitting Photos section, grouped by show
- Inventory item page: Every costume shows the fitting photos it appears in, with the actor wearing it. Other categories (a hat filed as a prop) show the section once a photo names them
- Slideshows: Generate an Actors in Costume slideshow — one slide per actor, their photos in a grid, and the pieces in frame linked as slide items
Who can do what:
- Adding, editing, deleting: Anyone who can edit inventory on the show — Costumer, Costume Designer, Hair & Makeup Designer, Designer, Stage Manager, Director, Producer and the show owner
- Viewing: Anyone who can view inventory, which is every collaborator on the show, Parents and Volunteers included
- Only this show's people and pieces: You can only name an actor on this show's roster and pieces assigned to this show
