Editing Inventory Items
Edit inventory items directly from the Inventory Detail page or your show's department tabs (Costumes, Props, Sets, Tech).
- Edit Button: Click the pencil icon next to any assigned item to open the edit dialog, or use Edit on the item's own page
- Items Not On A Show: Items in your central inventory that aren't assigned to a show yet — everything you've just imported — are editable from the item page too
- Basic Fields: Name, Category, Location, Status, Quantity
- Photos: Upload new photos or add from URL. Remove photos by hovering and clicking the trash icon
- Primary Image: Click the star icon on any photo to set it as the primary image
- Changes Apply Everywhere: Edits update the item across all shows it's assigned to
Setting Rental/Borrowed Information:
- Ownership Type: Change an item to Owned, Rented, or Borrowed using the dropdown
- Rented Items: When set to "Rented", a form appears to enter vendor name, contact info, checkout date, due return date, and condition notes
- Borrowed Items: Choose to borrow from a person in your production (select from People list) or an external source (enter source name)
- Return Dates: Set due return dates to track when items need to be returned - these appear in the Rentals Due widget
